Auckland Reactor's Impact Felt
When the connections of Auckland Reactor announced that the son of Mach Three would be contesting the Inter Dominion in Queensland, Australia, bookmakers stated that the whole ballgame, in terms of the early wagering, has
changed.
According to a report on abc.net.au, officials at Harness Racing Queensland are touting the addition of the four-year-old as a new dimension to the event.
"As soon as they (Auckland Reactor's connections) paid the money for the late nomination, bookmakers promoted Auckland Reactor to a $3.20 favourite, which meant that Melpark Major is now the second favourite, and also in the market the American horse Mr Feelgood and of course our own local champion Blacks a Fake who has won the last three Interdominions - he's on about the fourth line of betting," Damian Raedler of HRQ was quoted as saying.
