Daylon Miracle Repeats In Meadows Trot
Ontario-sired Daylon Miracle overpowered the field in Wednesday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows, notching her second straight victory and ninth in 16 starts this year.
Daylon Miracle had to fight three-wide for the early lead, but when Aaron Merriman gave her a :29 second-quarter breather, she was home free, scoring in 1:53.4. The pocket-sitting Mistress Valentine was a length back in second while Unefoisdansmavie earned show.
Bill Bercury trains and owns the five-year-old daughter of Pegasus Spur-Daylon Marvel, who took her 1:52.4 mark in last Wednesday's edition. Daylon Miracle now boasts over $350,000 in career earnings.
Dave Palone drove four winners and Merriman had three on the 14-race card.
