Bee A Magician In To Go
Canada’s 2013 Horse of the Year, Bee A Magician, has been entered to make her seasonal pari-mutuel debut.
The three-time O’Brien Award winner has recorded a pair of qualifying miles so far this spring – the most recent being an open-length win in 1:55.3 at the Meadowlands Racetrack this past Saturday.
Trained by Richard ‘Nifty’ Norman, Bee A Magician has been entered to contest the opening leg of the Miss Versatility series for aged trotting mares.
The first leg of the Miss Versatility will be contested this coming Monday (May 19) at Woodbine Racetrack. The connections of 13 mares dropped their charge’s names in the entry box, thus the race office has drawn a pair of divisions. Race 3 will feature a field of six, while Race 9 – which will feature Bee A Magician from Post 2 – will house a field of seven.
Bee A Magician, a daughter of Kadabra, has won 27 of 30 races and over $2.3 million in purses. While Ron Pierce was initially listed to drive, trainer Richard 'Nifty' Norman confirmed with Trot Insider and WEG's race office that regular pilot Brian Sears will be in the sulky.
First race post time for Woodbine’s Monday card is 7:25 p.m.
