Fun-Filled Cards Set For Clinton
Live harness racing is set to return to Huron County's Clinton Raceway this weekend, with the next two Sunday cards featuring fan-friendly fun.
Clinton is the place to be for the official kick off to Summer, with the chance to win a big-screen TV courtesy of Grove’s TV & Appliances. Of course, it wouldn’t be Opening Day without the world famous Clinton Raceway $2 t-shirt. Part of the day's festivities will include a fundraiser for local high school Central Huron Secondary School in support of their Challenge Day, being held in the Fall of 2014.
A charity BBQ, 50/50 draw, silent auction and bake sale are just some of the events incorporated into this fundraiser.
Clinton Raceway and Standardbred Canada are working together to host a great day of harness racing, food and fun on the following Sunday.
All Standardbred Canada and I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club members are invited to attend a trackside pork BBQ and Appreciation Day at Clinton Raceway on Sunday, May 25, from 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for members ($15 for non members) and can be reserved by contacting Jessica Carnochan ([email protected] or 519.955.680) in advance.
Also included in the ticket price is a $2 betting voucher, live race program, OLG group gaming offer and the chance to win one of three exclusive prizes Dinner for four, plus a $100 betting voucher to one of the following events:
- Molson Pace at The Raceway in the Western Fair District
- Pepsi North America Cup at Mohawk Racetrack
- 34th Annual Charity Driver’s Challenge at Clinton Raceway
There will be great door prizes, and added-on track contests during the Super Sunday Show during the event. Please reserve tickets in advance for this fantastic opportunity.
Last year’s track improvements, combined with this season’s upgrades to the grandstand, are making Clinton Raceway an even better venue to spend Sunday afternoons through August 31.
Live race post time is set for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 and all summer long at Clinton Raceway.
