HANA ‘Shoot-Out’ Update
With six handicappers coming out on the positive side of the ledger in Leg 5 of HANA Harness’ 2014 Grand Circuit ‘Shoot-Out’ Handicapping Contest, it is Sally Hinckley who takes top honours with a net profit of $192, $32 ahead of 2012 champion Mark McKelvie who finished the week $160 to the positive.
Despite the solid showing of these handicappers, Bob Zanakis remains the overall leader, despite a loss of $62.20 for the week with an overall net profit of $765.15; $310.15 in front of second place Brandon Valvo.
Hinckley was able to finish on top for the leg by earning a $134 profit on a $5 Trifecta Box using Sweet Lou (part of the Burke entry) along with Bolt The Duer and Thinking Out Loud.
Other big hits were earned by Mark McKelvie ($185 profit on a $25 Exacta Wheel of the Burke entry on top of the second and third place finishers), Earl Paulson ($60 profit on a $150 Place wager on the entry), and Josi Verlingieri ($60 profit on a $120 Win wager on the winning entry).
