Certified Ideal Repeats; Hall Dominates
Certified Ideal overpowered a distinguished field for the second straight week, capturing Monday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at the Meadows in front-end fashion.
Certified Ideal comfortably controlled the fractions for Tony Hall, and when she clicked off the final quarter in :27.4, she assured the only battle would be for minor spoils. The four-year-old daughter of Western Ideal-Arebas Last scored in 1:51.1, 1-1/2 lengths better than the rallying Phone Terror. Tremor Hanover finished third.
Randy Bendis trains Certified Ideal, who extended her career bankroll to $187,392, and owns with Mike Novosel, Jr., Tom Pollack and James Walton.
Hall drove five winners on the 15-race card while Dave Palone fashioned a three-bagger.
