Lady Suffolk Featured Friday At Freehold
A pair of New Jersey-sired fillies, a $200,000-earner and a first time starter, took the $33,075 divisions of the Lady Suffolk on Friday, May 2 at Freehold Raceway.
Cee Bee Yes, a daughter of Muscles Yankee, coasted to a seven and a half length victory in the second division, the ninth race, in 2:00.3.
At two, Cee Bee Yes collected four wins, three seconds and two thirds from 11 starts for earnings of $198,880.
The Julie Miller trainee opened her 2014 campaign in the Lady Suffolk with an easy wire-to-wire tally under the command of driver Jason Bartlett. Pinking Of You was second and Mistresswithmuscle was 20 lengths back in third.
Cee Bee Yes picked up an additional $16,537 for James Allen of Vincentown, New Jersey and Douglas Allen of Southampton, New Jersey.
Fastdownthehill, by Muscle Hill, was unraced at two and made the most of her maiden venture with a length and a half victory over Suegrabbitnrun. Bellas Spunkin was third by three and a quarter.
Donna Marshall trains Fastdownthehill, who was driven to victory in 2:01 flat by Jim Marshall III.
The filly races in the names of Richard and Regina Beinhauer of Venetia, Pennsylvania and TLP Stable of Kearny, New Jersey.
The Lady Suffolk, restricted to three-year-old trotting fillies, debuted in 1960 and has been contested at Freehold since 1992.
