"Racing here, in Pennsylvania and New York, it's great where you can race that circuit. You get a lot of good horses there."

With Mark MacDonald recently announcing that he will be racing at Meadowlands Racetrack on Fridays as he looks to become a regular amongst the Big M driving colony, the New Jersey racetrack host Sam McKee invited him to sit In The Sulky this past Friday night to discuss his career path.

"Right now I've been going to Pocono and I'm coming here on Fridays and going to Yonkers a couple days a week and it's actually been working out really well for me," said MacDonald during the interview. "The last couple of weeks have been fantastic."

The Canadian-born, U.S.-based reinsman noted that he hopes to become a regular Meadowlands driver in the fall.

"I think I'm going to give it a try," he said. "I think if I'm here everyday and people know I'm going to be here everyday, I'll maybe get some better drives."

In addition to discussing his drives for the night, MacDonald touched on his P.E.I. harness racing roots, his comeback from injuries, the star pacer he has been qualifying back and when he will be visiting Canada again.

"Hopefully for the North America Cup if i have something," said MacDonald. "Bolt The Duer was there last year for the Canadian Pacing Derby, he'll be going back for that again. You know, I'm not sure. Whenever it calls, whenever the time calls."
