Blossom Sweep For Rock N Roll Xample
Winning the Blossom Series proved to be like fishing with dynamite for Rock N Roll Xample, who thumped her foes by 3-1/2 lengths in the $36,000 final Friday evening at Woodbine Racetrack.
Flawless in the preliminary legs of the event for three-year-old pacing fillies, Rock N Roll Xample was treated to a two-hole trip by driver Randy Waples and the sophomore didn’t let it go to waste. Violet Bayama powered to the top and threw down panels of :26.3, :56 and 1:25.1 before being inhaled by Rock N Roll Xample in the lane.
Rock N Roll Xample stormed home in :27.3 to win in going away fashion over Wildcat Magic, who rallied from last in the six-horse affair. Violet Bayama faded to finish third.
Shawn Robinson trains the homebred daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-R Xample for owner/breeder Bob Hamather of Exeter, Ontario. The victory was the seventh of the season for Rock N Roll Xample, who bumped her bankroll to $84,090 with the triumph. She paid $2.40 for the win.
