Northfield’s Top Trot To Julians Caesar
Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Julians Caesar returned to his winning ways Monday evening at Northfield Park thanks to his come-from-behind tally in the $9,500 Open Trot.
Trained by Ron Burke and paired up with driver Chris Page, Julians Caesar capitalized on a covered-up trip en route to posting the one-length decision over Action Broadway in 1:57.4. Third prize was earned by Pembroke Snapshot.
Sent off at odds of 5-1, the seven-year-old son of Oaklea Julian-Twin B Lady improved this year’s record to 3-3-0 from eight trips to the track with the victory. The career winner in excess of $250,000 is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
