Burgess Responds To Snobelen
"We cannot race for blankets, ribbons or accolades. Our business is neither a hobby nor a toy for governmental or social experimentation."
Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame member Robert Burgess issued a letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne on the state of Ontario's horse racing industry in late December. That letter was responded to by Ontario Horse Racing's John Snobelen.
Burgess has released the contents of his reply to Snobelen and Wynne, and that letter is available at the following link: Burgess: A False Sense of Hope for the Standardbred Industry.
