Updated: Wednesday Cancellations

Officials from three tracks - including Flamboro Downs - have announced that they have been forced to cancel their scheduled programs of live racing scheduled for Wednesday (Feb. 19).

Officials from Flamboro Downs have announced that its program of live racing scheduled for Wednesday has been cancelled due to unsafe track conditions. Morning training had been cancelled earlier.

Officials with the Meadows in Pennsylvania have stated that due to a continuing thaw that has inundated the track with melting snow and ice has forced the cancellation of Wednesday’s live card at the Meadows.

All locations remain open for simulcasting.

Live racing at the Meadows is set to resume Thursday at 12:55 p.m.

Officials with Pennsylvania thoroughbred raceway Penn National have stated that they have been forced to cancel the track’s Wednesday live program due to poor track conditions caused by rain and melting ice.

In addition to Penn National, officials from Ohio thoroughbred raceway Beulah Park have announced that they have also cancelled their scheduled live Wednesday card.

Buffalo Raceway was forced to cancel its Wednesday card after just one race was completed. Poor track conditions prompted official to pull the plug on the remainder of the card.

Live racing is scheduled to return to the Hamburg, New York oval at 5 p.m.

Officials from The Raceway at Western Fair District announced Tuesday that Wednesday morning training at the London, Ont. oval was cancelled. Officials from the track also stated that the scheduled Friday qualifying session has been cancelled.
