Yves Trudeau Passes

Trot Insider has learned that longtime standardbred breeder/owner Yves Trudeau, 69, passed away on Friday, February 14 after a fight with cancer.

Trudeau, the owner of Fantasia Farm in Les Cèdres, Quebec, was the proud owner of La Gorce (a Coupe Des Eleveurs winner), Discovery (a multi-stakes winner) and Shocking Fantasia (a multi-Open winner), among others.

Harness racing was Trudeau’s passion. In his retirement, Trudeau gave his time to help modify Blue Bonnet’s track to a seven-eighths-mile oval.

Trot Insider will update this notice with information regarding arrangements when it is received.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Yves Trudeau.
