Robert Malaison Passes

Well known blacksmith Robert 'Bob' Malaison passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4 at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ont. after a battle with cancer at the age of 68.

Originally from Jonquière, Que., Robert was a well known and respected blacksmith for over 44 years in the Flamborough area, mainly at Flamboro Downs, and just retired last September.

Robert Malaison, beloved husband of Monique Malaison (nee Bilodeau). Dear father of Martin (Paul) and Marie-Lynn (Iain). Robert is survived by his sisters Paquerette Deschenes, Monique Huot and Diane Malaison (Serge Coté). He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, February 12 at 1 p.m. A reception at the funeral home will follow the service. Cremation has taken place.
