SBOA To Discuss SARP Fallout
The Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association has announced that it will be hosting an important information session regarding the cancellation of the Slots at Racetracks Program.
The release states, “As you know, the SBOA has tried to engage the government about compensating breeders for the losses they suffered as a result of the government's sudden cancellation of SARP in 2012.”
The release goes on to state, “We are hopeful that the SBOA will be able to reach an agreement, but if the government is not willing to provide any form of compensation, breeders need to consider their alternatives.”
The release states that the board of the SBOA and its counsel, Jonathan Lisus, will hold an information session on Saturday, February 15.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014 the board of the SBOA and its counsel, Jonathan Lisus, will hold an information session. We urge you to attend this important meeting.
The information session will coincide with the SBOA’s annual banquet. The information session is scheduled to take place at 1:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Guelph Hotel & Conference Centre located at 601 Scottsdale Drive in Guelph.
