Coletta Benefit This Saturday

Details regarding a February 8 fundraiser of injured harness driver Anthony Coletta have been released.

An article on nj.com states that a benefit will be taking place at the Holy Rosary school auditorium, located at 189 Brunswick St. in Jersey City.

The report states that area businesses have donated food, wine and other goods for the fundraising portion of the event.

Tickets for a New York Rangers game and jewelry sets will also be raffled off.

A DJ will be at the event, which will also feature music by a five-member doo-wop band named ‘The Heartaches.’

Tickets to the event are $25 each. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will
go toward Coletta’s medical costs. Tickets can be purchased at the door or via Frank Marto at 201-424-4454.

The article has quoted a close friend of Coletta’s, Anthony DeFrancesco III, as saying that the harness driver “is making progress.”

DeFrancesco went on to say, "No promises, but he's making some progress."

Coletta was involved in a serious accident at Harrah’s Philadelphia on November 17, 2013. He sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized in a rehabilitation facility.
