Sportech, GCGC Reach New Contract
Sportech Racing and Digital (‘Sportech’) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a new contract to provide pari-mutuel tote wagering systems and services to Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (‘Great Canadian Gaming’), owner and operator of multiple racetrack and casino gaming venues in Canada.
Sportech Racing and Digital already supports Great Canadian Gaming's pari-mutuel wagering activities conducted at the company's racetracks and betting venues in British Columbia and Ontario, and through its digital wagering services, from Sportech's Quantum Data Center in New Jersey. Under the new agreement, Sportech will provide new teller-operated and self-service wagering devices as well as the mobile wagering service that allows patrons to conveniently wager with their own smart phone or tablet while on track.
Bruce Barbour, executive director, Racing Operations for Great Canadian Gaming, remarked, "We have been pleased with the reliability and performance of Sportech's wagering technology, and with the level of service we have received, and we look forward to implementing some of the new technologies Sportech has on the horizon."
Andrew Gaughan, president of Sportech Racing and Digital, said, "This new contract with Great Canadian Gaming extends an important relationship with a valued customer. It not only provides more efficient wagering terminals, but also provides the opportunity to adopt new and emerging technologies, such as Sportech's Digital Link™ mobile wagering and digital voucher suite."
