Celebrity Secret Sold To Swedish Stud
Celebrity Farms owner Sam Stathis and Bob Brady of Kentuckiana Farms announced today that Celebrity Secret has been sold to Broline International AB
of Sweden and will immediately be shipped to Sweden to stand at stud for the 2009 European Breeding Season.
It was initially announced that Celebrity Secret would stand in New Jersey under Kentuckiana Farms’ management.
Perry Soderberg of Pro-Equine USA brokered the transaction among the parties for an undisclosed “substantial” purchase price.
“Perry did an excellent job of bringing all of the parties to the table to reach an agreement that is extremely rewarding for everyone involved," said Bob Brady of Kentuckiana Farms. "Working under significant timing and other logistical constraints, Perry was able to pull together a deal that we never planned for or expected. The deal simply made too much sense under present market conditions.”
“'Secret' was a horse of a lifetime that provided us with unforgettable excitement and joy over the past two years," said Sam Stathis. "He enabled us to experience this great sport at the highest level with great friends, colleagues and competitors. We cannot thank enough Staffan and Marie Lind, Secret’s drivers, his fans and the entire Secret team. Secret will always have a special place in our hearts. We look forward to racing his offspring and continuing his legacy."
