‘Horse Play – Comedy For A Cause’

Go and Play Stables has announced that it will present ‘Horse Play – Comedy For A Cause’ on February 28 at Sin City in Peterborough, Ont.

The host for the evening will be Scott Belford, who won the Funniest Person in Edmonton in 2008 and has opened for such big names as Jay Mohr and Pauly Shore.

Also included on the comedic roster is Mark Dubonis, who was the winner of The Great Canadian Laugh Off and was also the winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Newcomer. Dubonis is also the host and producer of many successful comedy shows.

Headlining the tour is Gabriel Rutledge, who is a past winner of the prestigious Seattle Comedy Competition and has made TV appearances on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Comedy TV and Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out.

Go and Play Stables is proud to bring ‘Horse Play – Comedy For A Cause’ to Peterborough for the second year in a row. The event will help raise funds for the standardbred rescue, whose mandate is to promote the use of the standardbred breed for uses beyond harness racing, including for sport.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will get underway at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door for $20. Adding to the fun, a dance and karaoke will take place following the comedians.

This hilarious night of comedy includes 90 minutes of stand-up. The Canadian comics from the ‘Raise the Woof’ Comedy Tour use their comedic skills to raise money for animal rescues throughout Canada and the United States.
