Run And Tell Pap rebounded from two subpar performances to capture Wednesday’s $16,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot at The Meadows -- one of eight victories on the 16-race card for driver Dave Palone.

Although Run And Tell Pap won 10 times in 2013, he broke stride in his final starts of the year. Palone gave him a covered trip Wednesday and the seven-year-old High Falls-Adeles Jade gelding responded by roaring through the lane to score in 1:56.4, two and a half lengths better than Wing Tips, with TSM Photo Bugger third.

Four of Palone’s wins were for Ron Burke, who trains Run And Tell Pap for his Burke Racing Stable and partners Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Thursday with a make-up program for the cancellation of Tuesday’s card. The first of 15 goes at 12:55 p.m.
