Tyler Smith started 2014 by driving five winners on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Northfield Park.

Smith’s winners included Artistic Dreamer ($13) in race four, Sand Royal Blu, ($12.60) in race nine, Mooveit ($10.80) in race 11, Lima Lucky ($24.60) in race 13 and Jumpin Jack J ($13.80) in race 12.

Smith, 20, began driving in 2009 and has since garnered 1,194 career victories and is approaching $8 million in purse earnings.

Northfield Park has announced the addition of a $40,000 Pick 4 total pool guarantee to Thursday’s program. Beginning in race eight, the $40,000 Pick 4 guaranteed total pool includes a carryover of $8,906.61. First race post time is 6 p.m.
