As every horse in North America turns one year older on January 1, and 2014 is the Year of the Horse, we'd like to take a moment to wish every horse a Happy Birthday and all the participants and fans a Happy New Year.

While horses turn a year older in the Northern Hemisphere on January 1, horses born in the Southern Hemisphere automatically advance a year in age on August 1.
