Some Details Of Fort Erie Proposal

Details have begun to surface in regard to a festival racing meet proposed by the Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium.

The consortium operates the Fort Erie Racetrack for thoroughbreds, and according to a report by Niagara This Week the FELRC is looking to key in on specific dates in August of 2014 that coincide with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The article also explains that among other things, the FELRC’s plan will include a period for training at the track, a total of 400 races conducted across the season, and the historic Prince of Wales stakes contested sometime in July.
