Machinthesand won Sunday afternoon's $2,200 Preferred feature in a sparkling 1:55.1 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino.

Zip The Lip, under the command of Brian MacPhee, won the $1,800 Open Trot. The five-year-old gelding held off a late charge from Abundaspin (Harold Shepherd) and Diamond Mine (Willie Murphy) for his second win in a row. Trainer Donald Sweet and Orville Willis co-own the winner.
Brian and Brodie MacPhee had a great day at the office. The father-son duo recorded two winners each on the program.
