Vaughan Ratifies Casino Decision

It has been reported that on Tuesday, October 29, Vaughan City Council ratified its previous decision to not allow a casino to be built within its borders.

The news has come courtesy of an article on yorkregion.com that explains that ratification of the decision came via a 7-2 vote.

The report states that Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Thornhill Councillor Alan Shefman were the only ones that voted against ratification on Tuesday.

The ratification came after an October 16 vote in which Councillors in Vaughan voted 5-4 in favour of not pursing a casino in the city.
