Record Yearling Sold At Auction

On Saturday, October 5 at the annual York Standardbred Sale in the United Kingdom, a youngster with strong North American breeding smashed the sale’s record price for a yearling.

Lot 13, Alexander Camden smashed the yearling record sale of £24,000 for Rhyds Five Star in 2008 when the gavel fell at £38,000.

Alexander Camden is by Cambest p,5,T1:46.1 ($1,444,835) and out of the two-time sub-1:49 producer Lola.

Lola has bred Canyon Wind (p,5,1.48.4m $678,948) and Paragon (p,4,1.50.2 $419,472) who are full brothers to Alexander Camden. Lola has also bred Final Curtain (p,3,1.48.2m $267,688), Lone Star Hall (p,3,1.51.4 $35,619) and Master Plan (p,4,1.52 $30,930), who are half brother to Alexander Camden.
