It has been reported that Presque Isle Downs Inc. filed paperwork last week in an effort to stop the proposed Lawrence Downs racino in Pennsylvania from becoming a reality.

An article by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette explains that Presque has formally asked the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission to revoke the conditional license that would allow Lawrence Downs to conduct gaming.

The report cites Presque’s petition as stating that the PHRC, at minimum, has an "obligation to hold a hearing to address the severe negative impacts" that Lawrence Downs would have on other gaming operations that are currently doing business in the state.
