Suprizemeagain Tops Tattersalls Mixed Sale
Suprizemeagain, a three-year-old Western Hero colt, topped the 2009 Tattersalls January Select Mixed Sale at The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Monday when Ben Wallace of Milton, Ontario signed the sales slip for
$250,000.
The sophomore enjoyed a tremendous campaign on the Indiana circuit as a two-year-old. In 12 starts, he went 10-2-0 and banked $159,300 for his connections. Suprizemeagain took a 1:51 mark at the Duquoin State Fair in a division of the Hayes Stakes.
Free-for-all pacers Western Shore and Zooka were also sold today. Western Shore brought a tag of $212,000 and was purchased by Thomas Cancelliere of New Jersey. Zooka was bought by Charles Crissman, Jr. for the price of $152,000.
Other notable horses going through the sales ring today included Thong ($100,000), Legacy N Diamonds ($130,000), Lets Getit Started ($100,000), Lis Deo ($100,000), Riggins ($220,000), Trade Editor ($170,000), and San Remo Kosmos ($100,000)
