Manzi On The Mend & Heading Home
Hall of Fame driver Cat Manzi, who was injured in a racing accident at Freehold Raceway and went into rehab earlier this month, is scheduled to be released and head home on Friday, September 20, according to his wife Ellen.
Manzi suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis in a spill at Freehold on September 6 and after being treated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune was moved to an acute rehab facility in Brick, New Jersey on September 11.
The 63-year-old reinsman is the third highest all-time winningest driver in harness racing history with 14,789 career victories.
