This Sunday, Clinton Raceway will host its first open house in collaboration with The Ontario Harness Horse Association and the Hands on Horses Program.

The behind the scenes tour will begin at the iconic “Big Red Barn” at Clinton Raceway with a training demonstration by local trainer Jim Watt. Guests will have the chance to jog a race horse around the track, and watch the process of gearing a horse up for a race. Paddock Tours will take patrons through a typical race day at Clinton Raceway.

Fans will be treated to a lunch in the grandstand and then move up to the judges' stand and announcers booth to hear the track’s announcer, Tim O’Connor call a race. Guests will even have the chance to announce a horse in the post parade.

The open house begins at 11:30 a.m. and runs through post time of 1:30 p.m. More details and information can be found on the Clinton Raceway website.
