Stiletto Hall Celebrates 50th Career Win

Veteran pacer Stiletto Hall celebrated a special milestone at Fraser Downs as he won for the 50th time in his career on Saturday night in the 10th race.

Despite an outside post eight start, trainer Serge Masse worked out a winning trip for the 11-year-old Blissfull Hall gelding, who was facing a field of $6,000 claimers. Stiletto Hall sat third along the pylons through fractions of :26.3, :55.2 and 1:24 before closing in :29.3 to prevail by a length and a half over the pacesetting Boom Shazam (Brad Watt) in 1:54.2.

The winning time was a season's best for Stiletto Hall. He has won five of his 17 races so far this year for the Don M Jr. Stables of Edmonton, Alta.

Stiletto Hall returned $12.50 to his backers as the 5-1 third choice in the field.

The winner's share of the $5,000 purse pushed his career bankroll to $411,069. He now has 50 wins, 36 seconds and 33 thirds on his lifetime record from 214 starts.
