Certified Ideal Is The Real Deal
Certified Ideal drew away to a 12-length victory in the $7,000 second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes – Green Acres for three-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday afternoon at Freehold Raceway.
Certified Ideal [$3.20] by Western Ideal cruised to her third win in nine starts this year in 1:54.1, with a last quarter in 27.1 seconds. Air Miles Hanover and My Tallia Ideal, both also by Western Ideal, finished second and third, respectively.
Driven by Jim Pantaleano and trained by Ross Croghan, Certified Ideal has finished in-the-money in eight of career 18 starts. She races in the name of her owner-breeders, Arthur Rudolph, the Rudolph Stables Inc. and Bernard Owen.
Freehold will host the $42,100 New Jersey Futurity for two-year-old New Jersey-sired pacers on Saturday, September 14.
Gold Rocks, winner of the $96,200 Babic Final last week, has been installed as the 9-5 morning line favourite from post six in the ninth race feature. The son of Rocknroll Hanover will have George Brennan at the lines for trainer Tony Alagna.
Ideal Helen by Western Ideal is the 2-1 second choice in the morning line. She won the $61,900 Babic Filly Final in her last outing.
Andy Miller will drive the filly for trainer Erv Miller. She leaves from post nine in the second tier of the 10-horse field.
