Repeat For Regis The Horse
Regis The Horse earned his second straight victory in front of a national audience with a 1:56.4 triumph Thursday at Harrington Raceway.
Named after TV superstar Regis Philbin, Regis The Horse was shown live on Fox Sports 1's "Crowd Goes Wild" for the second straight start and did not disappoint. The George Teague-trained son of Shadow Play and driver Montrell Teague followed Bazillion throughout most of the race before pulling from the pocket approaching the three-quarters and surging by for a one length win in front of Philbin who once again cheered his namesake on along with his on-air cohorts. The pacer paid $3.20.
"Crowd Goes Wild" is a daily sports discussion program hosted by Philbin, airing Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. EST. The live satellite feed from Harrington Raceway to Fox Sports 1 was provided by Roberts Communications Network, LLC.
The show has an entertaining sports discussion format that includes British sportscaster Georgie Thompson, former NFL star Trevor Pryce, Wall Street Journal sports columnist Jason Gay and comedian/former tennis pro Michael Kosta.
