Gold Cup Handicapping Contest Winner
Congratulations to Cameron MacEachen of Truro, Nova Scotia for winning the 'I Love Canadian Harness Racing' Fan Club’s Gold Cup and Saucer Online Handicapping Contest.
MacEachen finished in first by collecting 16 out of a possible 20 points.

- Select the horse who will finish in a better position from these three Match Ups: (2 points each)
- Race 5 - Norman MacPhail Memorial Pace - Narragansett & Sterling Seelster - Narrangsett (2 points)
- Race 6 - Joe O'Brien Memorial - J J Nitro & Scarlet Chaser - Scarlett Chaser (2 points)
- Race 10 -Premier's Pace - Windemere Express & Lucky Encounter - Windemere Express 2 points
- Select the driver that will earn the most purse money for the entire card of racing - Marc Campbell with $47,685 (3 points)
Over 200 players entered the contest and two players tied for first with a total of 16 out of the possible 20 points. MacEachen was declared the official winner following a blind draw to break the tie.
MacEachen has been involved with harness racing his entire life. His father, Malcolm, had horses when Cameron was growing up and he’s been involved since. Cameron regularly attends Truro Raceway, Inverness Raceway and makes his way over to the Island to watch the Gold Cup during Old Home Week. He was there to witness Marc Campbell capture the Gold Cup this year while aboard Escape The News.
Cameron will receive a $50 I Love Canadian Harness Racing swag bag along with a $50 gift card to Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park. Thanks to all of the players that took part and we look forward to receiving your entries for upcoming contests.
