Richard 'Dick' Roberts Passes
Trot Insider has learned longtime horseman Richard ‘Dick’ Roberts passed away Friday August 9, 2013. Roberts died peacefully at the age of 51.
He is survived by his beloved sons Joey and Jake Roberts – sons of Mary Paulic, mother Roberta “Bobbie” Roberts, father Glenn Roberts, siblings and spouses; Paul Roberts, Darryl and Rasa Roberts, Stephen Roberts, Rhonda and Mark Kerr. Nieces and nephews; Rachel and Dylan Roberts, Laura Roberts, Harrison and Caiden Kerr.
He was a life-long Standardbred trainer and avid horseman. He will be remembered for being generous and giving; always helping others. His smile and laughter will never be forgotten.
The funeral will be held on August 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Church located at 818 Hamilton Road, London, ON N5Z 1V3. Followed by a celebration of life at Western Fair Raceway – Annex located at 316 Rectory Street, London, ON N5W 3V9 from 1 – 3 p.m.
