CDP Feature To Cabo Pan Lucas

Cabo Pan Lucas, with Vince Poulton in the bike, won the Thursday night feature in 1:58 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

After two starter recalls on the race, Poulton sent Cabo Pan Lucas to the front and laid down fractions of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:28 en route to winning in 1:58. It was his fourth win in-a-row. Astronomical Union was second with Camcun third.

The pacer is owned by Gary Poulton and Alan Walker of Charlottetown, PEI.

BR Power Surge put in a dazzling performance over the CDP oval tripping the timer in 1:54.3 for driver Jason Hughes and owners John Quinn, Charlottetown, PEI and Kurt Hughes of Hamilton, ON. Stephen Quinn is the conditioner of the gelding who recorded his second win of the season.

Machinthesand also posted an impressive score of 1:54.4 for Brodie Mac Phee. Mark Bradley trains for owners Noonan Holdings Ltd and Russell and Karen Noonan of Middleton, PEI

Mac Phee had a huge night at the office driving four winners in-a-row on the program. The young driving star also paraded Regal One, There Paid For and King Of Rock to the winner’s circle.

Delta Dental used a backstretch brush to go after the leaders and cruise to victory in the trot class for driver Ron Gass and owner Shelly Gass of Cornwall. The time of the mile was 2:01.3.

Racing returns Saturday at 6 p.m. Red Shores Summerside features the first leg of the Premier’s Pace on Sunday. Post time is 1 p.m.
