Remillard Takes Slight Lead At Yorkton
Trainer/driver Richard Remillard got off to a great start on Friday night winning the first four races at Yorkton Exhibition to propel himself into the top spot in the track's 2013 standings.
Remillard's own trainees Oblivious Boy, Miss Tinkerbelle and Burnt On Top all won their respective assignments starting from post position four. Remillard also drove Merlins Magicmaker for trainer/owner Blair Kidd to victory lane in the third race.
Oblivious Boy earned his 30th career win in 2:00.1 in the opener, which marked the fastest mile on the seven-race card.
Remillard's victories move him into first-place in the track's standings over Brian Gray. He now has 12 training wins and 13 driving wins while Gray has secured 11 in each category so far this meet.
