Nash Stonebridge Regal GM

The syndicate that owns Stonebridge Regal is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Nash as its general manager

.

Nash is a well known horseman and breeder in North America, having been responsible for the careers of such great sires as Balanced Image, Angus Hall, Apaches Fame and No Pan Intended. He was for many years the general manager at Glengate Farms.

Stonebridge Regal, p, 3, 1:49.3s, 1:48.1 - '07 ($1,065,578), the fastest son of the great Artsplace, stands at Seelster Farms and serviced a full book of mares in 2008. He is out of Lady Joanna, the only broodmare to have produced two offspring who paced in 1:48.1.

“I am delighted to represent such a wonderful horse as 'Regal,'" said Nash. "In fact I tried to get him to Glengate when we were there. He’s a perfectly balanced horse with wicked speed as attested to by his mile in 1:47.1! I think his offspring will have an opportunity to make serious money in the Ontario Sires Stakes and the syndicate has priced him just right at $4,000. I look forward to talking to breeders who have quality broodmares and want a great value.”

“There are few people with the credibility and horsemanship as Doug Nash possesses," said Cal Stiller, speaking for the syndicate. "We are proud to have Doug join us and look forward to an innovative and successful campaign.”

Stonebridge Regal stands at Seelster Farms for his second year at stud.
