Maven In To Go Friday

The third leg of the popular Miss Versatility Series for trotting mares is on the Friday night card at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Eight mares will compete in the $40,000 Grand Circuit event which has been carded as Race 11.

Maven has been invincible thus far in four 2013 starts for her connections. Two of her wins came at Mohawk Racetrack in the first two legs of the Miss Versatility. Maven has been installed at odds of 6-5 on the morning line. She is looking to continue her seasonal unbeaten streak for owner WJ Donovan, trainer Jonas Czernyson and her regular driver, Yannick Gingras.

Win Missy B, a familiar foe of Maven's from last year, is scheduled to make her first start of the season on Friday. The four-year-old daughter of Conway Hall won the Kentucky Filly Futurity and was second to Maven in last year's Breeders Crown. John Campbell will be driving Friday for trainer Paul Reid.

First-race post time at the Meadowlands Racetrack on Friday is 7:15 p.m.
