An ex-racehorse has been reunited with her past owner after the eight-year-old mare was recently found in a field abandoned and severely malnourished.

The news comes courtesy of a brief report by ntv.ca.

The report explains that Deucesneverlooses, a bay by Allamerican Native, was found amongst other horses in a field in the area of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland.

The mare is now back with her original owner, Paul McDonald.

McDonald, along with volunteers and horsemen that race horses at the St. John's Racing and Entertainment Centre, are making sure that the mare is back on the road to recovery after having lost between 400 and 500 pounds.
