'Oscar' Tops Fredericton Pacers

Dusty Lane Oscar keeps thumping the competition at both New Brunswick harness racing tracks.

The nine-year-old rattled off a four length triumph in the feature race at Fredericton Raceway on Saturday, stopping the clock in 1:59.4.

Chris Davies, who owns, trains and drives the horse was in the sulky as the gelding notched his fourth win in only six starts this season. The win was Dusty Lane Oscar's third of the year at the capital city oval. He also has one victory at his home track in Saint John.

Ace On The River finished second and Hyperion Blue Chip was third in the final race on an 11-dash card.

Ed Harvey guided Seven Signs to win the fastest mile of the day. He was 16 and a half lengths ahead of his closest competitor in 1:58.4.

Gordie Hennessey reeled off a driving triple, scoring with Hay You Hellion in 1:59.3, Putnams Glory in 2:00.1 and Milliondollarjewel in 2:02.4. Phillip Hodgson and Gilles Barrieau drove two winners apiece.
