Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, in its 20th season of live harness racing, will kick start summer weekends with a mix of "Family Fun" promotions, Wild West themed activities, live music, and horse racing on Saturday, June 15.

Tagged as “Wild West Days," Hoosier Park will once again provide racing fans a day mixed with family-fun themed horse racing. A 13-race card that begins at 5:30 p.m. will highlight the day.

In conjunction with the racing action taking place on the track, Hoosier Park will be filled with activities off the track as well. Guests will have the opportunity to ride a mechanical bull along with free pony rides. Hoosier Park’s Yard will be filled with strolling entertainment and Wild West-themed food and drinks complete with an old-fashioned soda wagon, Chuckwagon BBQ, and yard-long beers. The “Better Luck Sally” band will take the stage at 5 p.m. and fill Hoosier Park’s Yard with country music throughout the night.

Hoosier Park’s "Family Fun Days" will also return this Saturday and continue each weekend throughout the entirety of the live racing meet. A Kids Corral with colouring pages, horseshoe decorating and much more will begin at 5 p.m. Activities will also include a bounce house, face painting, interactive games, live entertainment and winner’s circle giveaways. The official Hoosier Park mascot, Hoosier Buddy, will be on hand to entertain and excite.

Perhaps one of the more exciting races found at Hoosier Park will not include live horses at all, but rather bouncy horses. The first of its kind, the celebrity standardbred drivers will race and eighth of a mile on Hoosier Park’s track riding inflatable horses in an exhibition race. The top two finishers in each race will return for a championship race. The top three finishers in each race will earn money for their respective charities. All proceeds will go to each driver’s pre-elected charity.

The popular "I Win, You Win" giveaway is also back featuring Hoosier Park’s celebrity drivers. Guests can enter nightly during live racing at Club Centaur for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

Live racing at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino kicked off on April 2 and will continue through November 9. Following a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, the 160-day, all harness racing meet will have a daily post time of 5:30 p.m.
