Updated: Frank Loyens Passes
Longtime standardbred owner Frank Loyens of London, Ont., passed away on Monday, June 3 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Frank, 69, was one of the founders of Lobro Stables of Lucan, Ontario with brothers Bill and Harry, and raced horses for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Bonner) for 48 years. Dearly loved father of Lisa Estrada and her husband Alberto. Incredible grandpa to Carl, Adrianna, Clark and Grayson Estrada. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Bill and Paulette Loyens, Harry and Raisa Loyens, Nell and Albert Wuytenburg, Tony and Jacquie Loyens, and Eddie and Diane Loyens and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Tuesday evening 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Thursday, June 6 at 11 AM. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (Adrianna’s Relay for Life Team: the Walking Warriors) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
