Arch Madness Scratched
Trotting iron-horse Arch Madness will be unable to capture his second Oslo Grand Prix in three years as Trot Insider learned the Balanced Image gelding has been scratched from Sunday's event.
Marc Goldberg, co-owner of the nine-year-old triple-millionaire along with Willow Pond LLC, confirmed that Arch Madness tied up on Friday forcing trainer Trond Smedshammer to scratch. Goldberg feels that will not impact racing two weeks from Sunday in Sweden's Elitlopp.
"I think they will get him in good order by then. He will race only if he is 100 percent."
The richest Canadian-sired trotter in harness racing history earning $3,764,814 in purses, Arch Madness has won 31 career races including victories in the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final, Breeders Crown, Trotting Classic, Maple Leaf Trot, Credit Winner Trot, Arthur J. Cutler, and Titan Cup.
