Allen Skolnick Passes
Allen Skolnick, owner of Southwind Farms in Pennington, New Jersey, passed away this morning (Wednesday, April 24) at the age of 84.
Along with his late wife, Connie, Skolnick founded the New Jersey breeding farm which stands Chapter Seven, Muscle Hill and Sportswriter, in 1986.
Skolnick founded a successful nutritional supplement company and later turned his attention to horses and farming, first at the original Southwind Farm in upstate New York, where they raised multiple breeds of cattle, sheep, goat and hay for their animals.
He was predeceased by his wife, Connie, who passed away last month, and a son, Rand. Allen's sons, Barry and Mitchel, who operate Bluestone Farm in New Jersey, survive him, as does a grandson, Jake.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Boulevard Riverside Chapel, 1450 Broadway, Hewlett, New York.
