Hanover Qualifying Details
Hanover Raceway will accept qualifying entries for its 2013 season, starting this Friday at 8:00 a.m.
The box will close at 11:00 a.m. and the qualifier sheet will be released around noon.
Hanover will hold qualifiers this Sunday morning starting at 11:00 a.m. in preparation for the 2013 season, which starts on Saturday May 4 at 7:15 p.m.
Hanover Raceway GM Gord Dougan says new phones, camera equipment, data wiring and sound equipment had to be installed after an electrical fire caused over $60,000 damage to the judges' booth last fall.
Dougan says this --- on top of the late spring and late approval of race dates --- made for a hectic spring start up.
Dougan says there are still some minor issues to be addressed, but the majority of preparation work is underway or has already been completed. Dougan says once the ORC releases Hanover’s 2013 purse details, the track will be able to prepare its first condition sheet.
It is hoped that the condition sheet will be released by Friday or Saturday.
Hanover will hold 20 live race days in 2013 starting Saturday, May 4, which is also Kentucky Derby Day. Hanover will continue to host a number of special race days, including Pepsi and Molson Day, Hockeyville Day, Ladies Night, and its two major stakes events, the Balanced Image Trot and the Dream Of Glory Trot. Dream Of Glory Day will also include a huge fireworks display after the races.
