Coulter Scores Friday Five-Bagger
Flamboro Downs' leading driver Scott Coulter kicked off Friday's harness racing card with a sweep of the early Daily Double, but he didn't stop there.
The Brantford, Ont. reinsman went on to win five of the card's 12 races.
Coulter doubled up with wins aboard sophomore pacer Yohansbastion Mach ($4.80) and trotting mare Elin ($7.30) -- both notching their second in a row -- and later clicked with 10-year-old pacer Noble Seelster ($3.90) in the fifth dash. He was back in the winner's circle after steering the maiden-breaking three-year-old pacer L A Camcharger ($10.90) to a head decision in the seventh and completed his winning crusade in another close finish in the 11th race with five-year-old pacer Libertys Best Star ($5).
Coulter's five victories pushed his seasonal win total to 87 to rank third on the national leaderboard. His half-million dollar purse earnings also places him among Canada's top 10 money-winners.
