Kawartha Snoopy Passes

The connections of 24-year-old Brisco Hanover horse Kawartha Snoopy have told Trot Insider that the career winner of $230,977 passed away Friday, November 28.

Kawartha Snoopy passed away at Cedar Valley Farm in Port Hope, Ont., which his home since he was a two-year-old.

Kawartha Snoopy proved to be a very solid racehorse throughout his 101-race career, posting 13 victories, 25 second-place finishes and 20 thirds. He took his record of 1:57.2 over the five-eighths mile course at Greenwood Raceway in downtown Toronto at age four.

The connections told Trot Insider that Kawartha Snoopy passed away from old age, but his death did come as a surprise.

Kawartha Snoopy was bred by D C Johnston Holdings Inc. of Peterborough, Ont., and was owned by Ray Paquette of Port Hope, Ont. and Don Campbell of Peterborough, Ont.
