Preferred Repeat For Your Beautiful
Your Beautiful finished the 2012 season on a winning note thanks to her 1:57.4 score in the Fillies & Mares Preferred at The Raceway at the Western Fair District, and she kicked off 2013 by doubling up in the class over London's half-mile oval for trainer Stephen Gillard.
Ryan Holliday got the call behind the mare, and he made the most of the opportunity with the homebred who is owned by Gillard and partner Marilyn Gillard of Tavistock, ON. Holliday tucked Your Beautiful into an early three-hole while Putnam Mackenzie and Aubsession battled to the quarter pole in :27.1. Aubsession eventually cleared to the position of command, and she continued to lead the way past the half-mile point in :56.3.
Your Beautiful commenced a first-over rally in the third quarter, and she brushed to the top past the third marker in 1:25.4. The four-year-old daughter of Your Nemesis-Beautiful Girl opened up a five-length lead at the head of the lane and her :29.2 closing panel helped her earn the win by 4-1/4 lengths over the odds-on favourite, Machs Delicacy, in 1:55.1. Thatll Be Franny took home the show dough.
Sent off at odds of 5-1, Your Beautiful won for the ninth time in her career while pushing her lifetime earnings to $187,650 with the triumph.
