The new Jeff Gural/WEG
The new Jeff Gural/WEG eligibility rules governing the offspring of stallions that were retired after their sophomore campaigns come into play with the foals of 2014. Archangel, who is being retired due to a “slight breathing problem,” will stand as a good test case. Is it a foregone conclusion that the colt’s connections and Blue Chip will be granted a medical exemption? Does this policy have any teeth?
